Music icons made from CDs

Artists Mirco Pagano and Moreno De Turco, working with multinational ad agency TBWA for a campaign called “Piracy,” created these mosaic sculptures using a colorful array of CDs, often using the actual albums of the artist depicted, including musical greats Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson, and Elvis.

Pasta sculpture

Pasta sculptor Sergei Pakhomov is from Russian city of Perm. His invention is very original — sculptures of mill cars, helicopters …made from pasta, spaghetti, lasagne, rigatoni. Moreover, he patented his idea. It all started six years ago. By profession Sergey is developing various promotional products. To promote the macaroni factory “Krasnokamsk” he was invited to film the commercial about production of the factory. In the evening, an inspiration came to him. And, as they say, it started. The advertising campaign did not take place, but the idea remained.

Toys based on sketches of children’s drawings

Wendy Tsao made her first toy based on a drawing by her 4-year-old son Dani. The school had asked the children to bring a toy from home. The idea was to use it as an emergency measure if the child were to throw tantrum or had a crying fit. Wendy didn’t want to send Dani’s favorite toy with him to school fearing he may lose it. Instead, she decided to make him a new toy. Using a drawing made by her child, one which he often repeated, as a guide, Wendy Tsao improvised a toy snowman.
