Recently, American Society for Microbiology, organized the first international competition “agar art” (“Agar Art”), which was attended by microbiologists from around the world. Growing up in a certain way bacteria cultures in Petri dishes, they “painted” , including famous works of art.

Singaporean artist Ivan Hu set a goal to maximize the realism of his drawings. As the canvas for paintings he uses a wooden plank. Pastel paints, and done so well that sometimes you can not immediately clear is it the real object, or painted.
