A small Dutch village Githorn, located in the center of the nature reserve De Wieden, known among locals as the Dutch Venice.Here is everything you need: 7.5 km of water canals, about 50 small wooden bridges, boat crossing, old houses and so on. Githorne has rich history.Githorne founded in the beginning of the XIII century, immigrants from the Mediterranean region.When they first saw this place, they noticed a lot of goat horns, left after the big flood, which occurred in the area in 1170.So this community was named “Geytenhorn” (“goat horns”), which over the years transformed into “Giethoorn” (“Githorn”). Movement on the streets of the village is by boat only. In another part of the village are bike paths. Githorn is a beautiful place, which managed to preserve the beauty and charm of the Dutch village of XVIII century. The second name of the village – Venice of the North.

Korean architect Sa Ho To post the real house on the roof of the skyscraper Jacobs Hall, in San Diego. This house is located on the 17th floor of the building. The architect has arrived in the U.S. in 1991, and since then has created interesting designs. By the way, the house – an exact copy of the real house which architect once saw in a different place. On the roof, is a mini-park so the impression is that the house is somewhere in the mountainous region.
