Milk river

It’s not milk. It is a natural latex. Natural latex has contaminated about two kilometers stretch of river Quxi in Wenzhou city in southeast China, turning it into a “milk river”. Layer of white oily substance floating on the surface of the river. The local environmental organization “Office Protection” blamed for the pollution trading company that loads and unloads the latex on the river. Local press described the situation even more surprising: “… the polluter has been identified as a natural emulsion … milky white color … contains no biochemical toxins. ” Earlier this year, pollution in the southern region of China have caused a panic that provoked strong demand for bottled water. At that time the river had a large amount of cadmium.
